This work reflects on North Sydney Olympic Pool as both a cultural icon and a tidal harbour pool, forming part of Sydney’s broader rockpool tradition. Built on the site of an earlier timber bathing enclosure, the pool once drew its water directly from the harbour. Painted from a 1956 photograph, the piece contrasts the pool’s golden era with the current redevelopment, exploring themes of memory, place and our evolving relationship with the water’s edge.
