Ficus alii ‘Petite’, also known as the Petite Banana Leaf Fig, is a compact variety of Ficus maclellandii—named for its long, narrow leaves that resemble banana leaves. With a graceful, upright form and smaller leaf size than the standard variety, it’s ideal for indoor pots or sheltered outdoor spaces in warmer climates. Unlike edible fig trees, this ornamental ficus is grown for its foliage and does not produce edible fruit. Hardy and low-fuss, it prefers bright, indirect light and well-drained soil.
